While in junior and senior high school, I majored in art and graduated from Marietta Senior High School in 1972. I completed the Famous Artist School program and graduated in April 1973. From 1971 to 1972, I was employed as a veterinarian assistant. From 1972 to 1980, I was employed as framing & store manager at Marj Teague Art Gallery in Williamstown, WV, while continuing to advance my own art career.

I was a member of the Ohio Arts & Crafts Guild from 1973-2003 and am currently a member. In 1978 I was fortunate enough to have a painting published in “The Gallery Section” of The Creative Ohio magazine. I also belonged to The Marietta Area Arts & Crafts League from 1973 to 1997, and held the offices of secretary, vice president and president. In 1981, I completed a Beginning Photography course at Washington Technical College. For 13 years, I was Show Chairman for the “Art for the Animals Arts & Crafts Show” in which I helped raise money for The Humane Society of the Ohio Valley, and was also a board member from May 1989 to August 1993.

In 1981, I opened my own art gallery and framing business and have enjoyed continuous growth over the years. My artwork of “Historical Scenes along the Little Muskingum River” was published in 1997 summer edition of “Over the Back Fence,” Southern Ohio’s own magazine. The portrait I painted of John Lyons’ horse, Zip, was published in the August 1998 edition of John Lyons’, “Perfect Horse Magazine.” I have been listed in the Who’s Who World Wide Registry Global Addition 1994, Who’s Who of American Women 1995-1996, Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals 2004-2005. I was the featured Artist in the Winter 1995 issue of Buckeye Artisan Magazine.
